Speed will rev up its 2009 NASCAR coverage with the first installment of NASCAR 39/10: Reviewing the 60th Season on Jan. 7.
The series of 10 three-hour specials, showcasing race highlights and extensive pre- and post-race interviews, will premiere Wednesdays and Thursdays from noon to 3 p.m. (ET) and run for five weeks, leading into the network’s extensive NASCAR programming schedule from Daytona Speedweeks in February.
Produced by NASCAR Media Group, the specials will air in high-definition and feature NASCAR Sprint Cup Series footage not seen in the original race broadcast, as well as interviews, sync scanner sound and 16mm film footage
Speed is also scheduled to roll out its annual NASCAR Preseason Thunder coverage on Jan. 12 at 6 p.m. with 17 original 30-minute shows and a one-hour special from Daytona Fan Fest on Jan. 17.
Moreover, Trackside Live with Larry McReynolds, Jeff Hammond and Steve Byrnes is back on track and will open the 2009 season with five consecutive shows from Daytona, airing Jan. 19-23 at 7 p.m.
“January is all about getting jacked up for Daytona,” said Speed president Hunter Nickell in a statement. “We’re going to give race fans a chance to relive their favorite moments from 2008 in a unique way, while at the same time, setting the stage for the new season. It’s a very cool time for all of us.”

auto industry is on the rocks and nascar is in crisis. big secret, don’t tell anybody.
ad revenues are way down on nba and even the nfl, overall, and all this bs is evaporating. like bruce springstiens ofl song, “57 channels and nothing on.”
corrupt mainstream media is headed for a big fall. you asked for change and, by god, you will get change.
